I thought I’d share this great little site for displaying website thumbnails for free and unbranded! http://snapcasa.com/

Move over Websnapr, Snapcasa’s coming through!

Websnapr has somewhat dominated the market over the years with their thumbnail generation service as they boast having served over 1 billion thumbnails. However for non payed customers you have to put up with the Websnapr branding on every thumbnail served, and the basic service  only allows you 100,000 credits. SnapCasa served 42 Million free snapshots prior to releasing their version 2 site. The new site release saw a premium option added to the site allowing you to purchase more credits for your monthly usage including on demand updating of thumbnail refreshes.

The basic free service offers the following

  • 300,000 Monthly Credits
  • Choice of 4 Sizes
  • Ad Free/Optional Watermark

The Premium  service offers the following

  • Packages Starting at $9.95
  • As low as 3 Cents/1000 snaps
  • Capture Snapshots in custom sizes up to 800px wide
  • Capture Fullpage Snapshots
  • JPEG, PNG, GIF Formats
  • Custom Image Compression
  • Faster Captures
  • Realtime Updates

The basic and premium service also allows for a number of thumbnail sizes as shown below.

    One of the few things I miss about Firefox was the great extensions they used to have that took care of issues like this.
